Before, during & after the bangs

Most noise events are on the calendar — July 4th, New Year's Eve, storm season. A little preparation turns a frightening night into a manageable one.

  1. Before the bangs

    Prepare

    Walk and toilet your dog before dark, feed a little earlier, set up their safe den, and secure gates, doors, and microchip details. Start the calming music before anything begins.

  2. During

    Den, mask, reassure

    Let your dog hide in their den, draw the curtains, and keep a steady soundscape playing to blur the bangs. Stay calm yourself, and comfort them if they ask — calmly.

  3. After

    Let them decompress

    When it’s over, keep things low-key and let your dog come down in their own time. No big fuss — just a return to the normal, predictable rhythm that tells them the world is safe again.
